ABOUT SPOOKTACKULAR HISTORY:
Tyto Kids mission is to educate children about cultures around the world and in their own backyard. For the 2013 Halloween season, an online experience was developed. A multi-level experience that late elementary school children can go through to learn about the differences and similarities between three spooky holidays found around the world was created. Users would go through three unique stories to learn about Japan Obon, American Halloween and Mexico's Day of the Dead. It was at the time, the only game online that allowed users to build a Japanese Obon Shrine.
Stephen provided UX development consulting as well as a gameplay strategy. Through researching Japanese and Mexican culture, Stephen was also able to identify and develop interactive content for the educational experience. Additional experiences that integrate culture and youth education are currently in development.
